The Lord’s Coming

When the lantern is off and there is no oil to light it up, how can one see to do what he or she must do; and neither can the one help others around him or her to do see and do what they have to do? Many unexpected things can follow up immediately darkness occurs when there is no light to illuminate the environment: thief can come in, one can stumble and fall, movements will be restricted. You can help yourself neither will you be able to help other in dark.

The light is your faith, it is also your love that must always be kept burning or else, “without faith it is impossible to please him (God) … The oil that will keep the light burning is the LOVE on which faith hangs and the sustenance of faith as it is written Ephesians 3:17 “so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,…”

Your faith keeps you working for the Lord, day and night, knowing that His love for you is guaranteed and yours for Him are interwoven, “nothing can ever separate us from God’s love.” If WE love Him, He says: “If you love me, keep my commands …” and Him saying in Jeremiah 31:3 “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”

Being ready for the coming of the Lord as Christians is to be busy for the Lord in EVERYWAY; and secondly to live daily in love to God and to our neighbors. Doing these two things daily as possible within our might, will help our hearts and mind heaven focused where Christ is seated, while keeping the commandment to love will help us to daily “… lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,…”. These two in mind, as Christians, faith and love will by His grace, make us ready for His coming.

Are you ready to meet your Lord when He shall come this second time?
